David's message from 2 weeks ago - 'cos there wasn't a bulletin last week.
Again another great speaker for the club, whilst the topic was challenging it is important as a society to be aware of this issues and be part of a cultural shift towards zero tolerance of violence and sexual violence of any kind. Thank you to Helen and Brian for sharing their knowledge on this topic and how we can be part of the way forward through knowledge and this zero tolerance approach.
For the next 2 weeks we have a couple of great nights including the Minya winery and Bowls night. Both these events are sure to be fun nights and a great way to enjoy the good weather of the season (I hope)……
Please don’t forget the club meeting on February 11th working towards the back end of the Rotary year(s) programs and events
This week's message
What a great night we had for our Australia Day celebrations, a terrific meal great entertainment. My only regret being Di Pearce didn’t get to see a real Australian talk. Thank you to all involved with the event and special thanks to Colin who drove the event.
Another highlight for me was the presence of past members demonstrating one of the great aspects of our club and heritage. I hope we get to see more of friends over the coming years.
Finally I would really like to welcome Judy Dahlke to our fold. We welcome Judy to the club and wish her every success, the spark that new members gives the club can never be underestimated. Welcome Judy
This week's meeting is at the Cement Bowls Club - good food, good fun and good fellowship guaranteed - especially if we win !!!!
For the uninitiated, it's our Annual Bowls night against RC Belmont - so we're looking for a "secret weapon". Do any of our recent "acquisitions" qualify ??
Bring along your soft shoues, a good bowling arm and sharp eyesight and be prepared for a great time.
If you haven't told Malcolm about your attendance and whether you're bowling or not, please do so IMMEDIATELY.

A Pommy bloke calls at Australia House in London to get a visa to visit family in Australia.
Bloke behind the counter asks, "Do you have a criminal record?”
Pommy bloke sighs and asks, "Is that STILL a requirement?"

One day a truckload of fertilizer went by this farm where a young boy lived.
The boy stopped the truck and asked the driver, "What are you going to use this fertilizer for?"
The man said, "For my strawberries."
The boy replied, "Well, at my place we put sugar and cream on our strawberries."

I had noticed that my 60-year-old father seemed to be losing his hearing, so I mentioned it to my mother.
"Things haven't changed that much," she said. "The only difference is, before he didn't listen to me. Now, he can't."

While I was working in the men's section of a department store, a woman asked me to help her choose a white dress shirt for her husband.
When I asked about his size, the woman looked stumped at first, then her face brightened. She held up her hands, forming a circle with her forefingers and thumbs.
"I don't know his size," she said, "but my hands fit perfectly around his neck."
